Greystone Lodge - Pet Friendly, Self Catering Chalets surrounded by natural forest in the Highlands near Dullstroom in Mpumalanga

Greystone Lodge is situated on a 180 hectare private nature reserve in the Mpumalanga Highlands. Located a mere 30km off the N4 between Belfast and Dullstroom and en-route to the Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim’s Rest and Kruger Park.

We offer self-catering accommodation in tranquil, private, semi-rustic chalets nestled in a Pine and Bluegum forest. Perfect for a relaxing family get-away. We are pet friendly!

The lodge is easily accessible with any vehicle type from Dullstroom and Belfast, however, the Machadodorp route requires a high clearance vehicle.

Greystone Lodge Accommodation

We have a variety of chalet sizes to suit your family requirements. Each of our 9 self-catering chalets has its own private garden area with uncovered braai in the garden.

Each chalet has a log fireplace with free firewood for those chilly highlands evenings. The chalets are fully stocked for self-catering purposes, each with their own fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, gas stove and oven. 

We have installed TV’s with DStv Stay Basic Package in each unit. We also supply each guest with a hand and bath towel. All linen, and extra blankets are also provided.

Chalet 8, our large 4 bedroom (8 sleeper), is paraplegic/wheel-chair friendly.  It has a portable braai on the covered patio.

Two of our chalets, Chalet 2 (a one bedroom unit) and Chalet 3 (a two bedroom unit) are fenced for those who prefer a fenced unit for their pets.  

Although we are predominantly self-catering, we can prepare meals for you and we will deliver your meals to your chalet at your preferred time. Discuss your requirements with us when booking.

Functions & Special Events at Greystone Lodge

Greystone Lodge is the perfect setting for your special day!  We have a large kitchen which is able to cater for large group events such as Special Birthday Parties, Weddings, Family Holidays, Corporate Strategy Sessions, Team Buildings or Board Meetings.

We have a fully licensed bar which we can stock for your function. No other alcohol can be brought to the function area if the bar is utilised. Please discuss your bar options with us, we are very flexible.
