Malalane (previously Malelane) is an small town located near to the Kruger National Park in the Kruger Lowveld region of Mpumalanga in South Africa.
Malalane is predominantly a farming town; sugarcane, subtropical fruit and winter vegetables.
Two decades ago the road leading to Malalane was upgraded to a national road (the N4) and a large amount of growth was experienced in the area with Sun International buying the Malalane Lodge and the opening of a SPAR and Pick ‘n Pay. SPAR and Pick ‘n Pay buy produce from the local farmers rather than importing goods from other areas which boosts the local economy.
With such close proximity to the Kruger National Park and the Mozambique and Swaziland borders, only a little over 40 km away, Malalane is a great stop for any tourist.

With a gate into the park only a few Kilometres away, Malalane is a convenient base from which to visit the southern parts of the Kruger National Park and experience its wildlife and natural beauty.
Game drives and walks can easily be joined from the town and the large variety of indigenous birds in the area make it a great spot for bird watchers. A golf club has also been built in the area. There are many activities to do in the area and surrounds.
